FRONT DIFFERENTIAL SPIDER GEARSET

The front differential spider gears live a tough life in the FWD transmissions and these should always be inspected anytime that the transmission is apart. We recommend  inspection via wet-magnaflux.  If you see signs of pitting, replace them.

QUAIFE LIMITED SLIP FRONT DIFF

This is the best limited slip you can use in your FWD.  It features a full lifetime warranty, even when used for racing.  This one takes a beating and keeps on working day after day. 

RIPGRIP

What is a RIPGRIP?  It's the infamous limit slip insert thingy for your transmission's open-style front differential, designed to provide increased traction to both front wheels.  CNC'd from tool steel and it has the strongest springs available so you get the most lock-up possible. You will not break this thing! We stock them for the the FWD & AWD Mitsubishi vehicles and custom units are available upon request.

NOTE:  it is recommended that you send your differential to our facility for the installation service (listed above). We are now machining the contact surfaces of the spider gears so that they are matched to the surface of the RIPGRIP and modifying the differential housing to provide more lubrication to the surfaces that wear out.  This provides a substantial increase in the limited slip action while providing a longer service.

Genuine Mitsubishi T.O. bearing: 25. This is the best T.O. bearing available.  Do not use the cheaper metal sleeved bearing as it'll only wear out the post that the bearing slides on.  This bearing features the graphited plastic inner sleeve to keep the bearing from wearing out the post and rattling. Genuine Mitsubishi.

HD 2nd Gen clutch fork:  $45.  This is the stronger clutch fork that fits both the 1st & 2nd Gen.

Stainless Steel scatter shield

Now this is a wise investment.  Flywheel explosions are known to destroy the vehicle and injure the driver or anyone in harms way.  Most drag strips require scatter shields if you're running 12.99 or quicker.  These scatter shield are built from .250" thick stainless steel, have four mounting points and fit the 89-99 DSMs both FWD & AWD.   Protect yourself and your investment.
