89-99 DSM Rear Differential Rebuild Service $525.
Includes the following services and parts:
- The rear diff is disassembled and hot tanked to remove all dirt, grease and oil.
- Parts are then glass beaded and then inspected for wear and components are magnafluxed checked for cracks.
- Cast iron housing is glass beaded and epoxy painted.
- Pinion flange glass beaded, painted and then turned true to rule out any vibration from a damaged pinion flange.
- New Upper and Lower Pinion Gear Tapered Roller Bearings
- New Carrier Housing Right and Left Tapered Roller Bearings
- New Shims for Bearing Preload Setup, Pinion Height / Gear Backlash Setup, and Proper Gear Contact Pattern

- TRE Heavy Duty Side Cover. 3x the rigidity over the OEM side cover. Eliminates deflection of the ring gear during hard clutch dumps. Large crush-proof bearing post design.
- TRE 12 plate MAX-LOCK friction disc upgrade, these are most aggressive and durable friction discs available.
- CNC machining of the Cross Shaft and Side Sheave eliminates the “clunk” from the rear diff.
- CNC machining of the Rear Diff Basket large radius of the housing. Improves the strength against cracking.
- Gear Detail & Tooth Profile Modification of the Ring & Pinion gearset. Proven to increase the durability of the gear teeth.
- Shot Peening of the Ring & Pinion, Spider Gearset, Cross Shaft, Side Sheaves, Rear Diff Basket. We make them stronger.

- TRE Oil Sight Rear Cover $115. Allows visual indication of oil quality while increasing oil capacity by 50%. (89-94 years only)
